Steve Wozniak, Apple co-founder, is supporting and a big believer in bitcoin, even if he has not invested into it, reported Coindesk on June 5.
Wozniak expressed that he was backing what the Square and Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey mentioned during CoinDesk’s Consensus 2018 conference in New York when he explained that he hopes bitcoin becomes the internet’s “native currency”.
Wozniak said during an interview at the Money 20/20 conference,
“I buy into what Jack Dorsey says, not that I necessarily believe it’s going to happen, but because I want it to be that way, that is so pure thinking.”
He spoke in a positive tone about the maximum supply each cryptocurrency has, which limits the existing number of coins but noted that he is more a supportive technologist rather than an investor.
Wozniak also mentioned that he sees more potential in bitcoin than other cryptocurrencies.
“All the others tend to give up some of the aspects of bitcoin. For example, being totally decentralized and having no central control. That’s the first one they have to give up to try to have a business model.”
