Yahoo Japan Buys a 40 Percent Stake in BitARG

Yahoo Japan announced that it was buying a 40% stake in BitARG, which is worth approximately $18.6-$28 million, according to Reuters.

Earlier in March, Yahoo Japan mentioned that it will launch its cryptocurrency exchange.

Yahoo Japan expressed in a statement that their cryptocurrency exchange will launch in Autumn 2018.

“By utilizing the service operation and security expertise of the Yahoo group, we support the operation of exchanges operated by BitArgo Exchange Tokyo,” Yahoo Japan mentioned.

Last week, Monex announced that it was acquiring the cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck, which suffered from a big heist in the beginning of the year 2018.

Two weeks ago, Japan’s largest chat plaform said that it was working with blockchain.
