Amber Baldet, one of JPMorgan’s Blockchain of Excellence leader, leaves the bank to start her own venture, reported Reuters.
Baldet has been very important for JPMorgan’s Blockchain for excellence since she is one of the people who helped the financial institution build the strategy behind the blockchain project.
A senior product manager in the bank’s Blockchain Center of Excellence, Christine Moy, will take Baldet’s place.
JPMorgan spokeswoman Jessica Francisco mentioned to Reuters,
“Amber is extremely talented and helped build the outstanding team we have today. […] . We respect her desire to start her own venture and we wish her nothing but the best.”
The underlying technology of cryptocurrency is starting to be implemented in different large corporations and banks. The distributed ledger will help the bank reduce its costs regarding securities settlement and payment processing.
