The Chinese Government Plans to Implement a National Blockchain


According to a press release published on March 12th, the Chinese Informatization and Software Services Division of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology studied the idea of a national blockchain and is planning  the “formation of a complete Blockchain standard system as soon as possible.”

Many  international standardization organizations began standardizing Blockchain such as the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) “has established a technical committee TC 307 (blockchain and distributed billing technology technical committee) that focuses on the blockchain field and carries out standardization work such as basics, identity authentication, and smart contracts.”

The Department of Informatization and Software Services Industry Division  wants the formation of a complete blockchain as fast as possible. In order for this to be possible, they “will actively promote related work, accelerate the establishment of the standardization committee, and better serve the development of the blockchain technology industry.”
